What makes an Ayurvedic cleanse unique from your average cleanse? The Ayurvedic cleanse is a tried and true method (over 5,000 years and counting) that not only cleanses the physical body during the active cleansing period but also addresses the very important post-cleanse rejuvenation period.

This is not just about weight loss or even only about ridding the digestive system of accumulated wastes. Ayurveda always addresses the physical body, the mind, and the subtle aspects of spirit as an interwoven whole. And not just a whole from a personal standpoint, but also from an interpersonal and environmental standpoint. Everything is connected and exerts influence.

In this seasonal program we will cover:

  • Fundamental concepts of Ayurveda and it’s relationship to Western medicine

  • How the seasons affect the body and why the transition of the seasons are important

  • What are the doshas and how do they work inside and outside of our bodies

  • Why a seasonal cleanse is important and how it affects our health in the future

  • How to use food, specifically an Ayurvedic monodiet, to pacify aggravated/imbalanced qualities during the cleansing period

  • Ayurvedic and Yogic perspectives on the function of the mind, intellect, and consciousness

  • The function of the pre-cleanse, active cleanse, and post-cleanse and how to move through each phase

Program Structure:

Day 7-12: Active Cleanse Modules | Live cleanse support webinar, online chat, yoga, meditation, and breath class access

What it is:

A 3-week community-based practice to move from one season to the next. Together, we practice cleansing the body with a nourishing diet, the mind with meditative practices, and the energy channels with breathing and yoga practices.

In our community, we examine our habits, compulsions, frustrations, and myriad other side-effects of cleansing. All this to support healthy habits and mind states moving forward. Support and encouragement is given throughout as well as a framework of what is going on physically, emotionally, and spiritually at each part of the cleanse.

This is a really cool aspect of the program. After downloading the HIPAA-compliant app, you will have all of your resources at your finger tips. You can easily pull up recordings, shopping lists, recipes, and instant chat functions (group and private). You can also incorporate a personal journal to track your journey.

Weekly group support session (recording available)

Sharing our experiences during this process is really important. During a cleanse, we’re shown aspects of ourselves that we may otherwise easily hide with food or work or alcohol (fill in your vice here). Understanding and untethering these relationships takes time and support. GroundWork Ayurveda + Wellness is not a mental health practice and does not given diagnoses or mental health advice. Rather, we talk about what is happening through an educational lens of yoga and Ayurveda to deepen self awareness.

Weekly breathing and meditation classes (recordings available)

Breathing practices and meditation are a foundational aspect to making mindful choices. Whether that be food, relationships, career, or anything else. These practices act as the jumping off point to meaningful change.

Classes take place on Thursdays at 6:00AM EST

Weekly yoga classes tailored to a cleansing group (recordings available)

Yoga is an amazing way to help support the body and mind during a cleanse. This is not time for an intensive practice but rather a slower, more reflective one. This yoga class combines Qi Gong and asana for a deep and steady practice that can be quite profound.

Classes take place on Wednesday at 6:00AM EST and Saturday at 7:00AM EST

Updates to help keep you focused and on track

You will receive updates, affirmations, and wisdom from the Vedic texts to help you stay inspired and to understand what is happening from an Ayurvedic perspective.
