Individualized Natural Medicine

There is no cookie-cutter approach in Ayurveda, no one path applied to all. A particular diet may provide relief for one person and wreak havoc for another, one herb may exacerbate one person’s imbalances while the same herb will alleviate another’s condition.

Ayurveda approaches each person as a whole and seeks to move imbalances in a way that does not provoke other issues to become worse. This is a cornerstone philosophy of Ayurveda.


A GroundWork Ayurvedic Consultation Includes:

  • An in-depth Ayurvedic assessment (Intake form and consultation)

Consultation

We will then meet in-person, or virtually, for a 75-minute consultation. In the consultation, we will discuss your constitutional tendencies from an Ayurvedic point of view and how certain foods, daily habits, and sensory stimuli may be beneficial or detrimental to you as an individual. Suggestions are made for daily and seasonal routines, foods to incorporate/avoid, personalized movement and meditation practices, as well as supportive herbs.

Intake

When you book a consultation, you will receive a detailed Ayurvedic intake form that examines various aspects of physical, mental, and spiritual health. This includes food and digestive habits, sleep, exercise, spiritual practices (if any), and reproductive health.


If technology overwhelms you, we can conduct intake forms via mail or in-session.


Protocol + Four-Week Program

You will then receive a detailed protocol and 4-Week action Plan hosted through the Practice Better app. It’s a great tool that houses all of your Ayurvedic resources, optional lifestyle journals, access to all GroundWork classes at the touch of a button, and a quick chat function to answer any questions you may have in the days and weeks following our session. You will also receive emails to help you focus on a few aspects of your protocol each week.

The goal of the session is to provide insight into your condition and equip you with tools to understand why things become imbalanced and how to reorient towards center. Follow-up sessions help to tackle challenge areas and quarterly check-ins provide support to harness the unique qualities of each season.

Special rates are available for nonprofit workers, teachers, veterans, and those who want to do the work of Ayurveda but may need financial assistance. If this is you reach out to me to discuss options.
