Birth Doula Support

Do I need a birth doula?

What is a doula?

A birth doula provides support, comfort, and stability during one of the most transitional times of life. We are partners in your journey. Most importantly, a doula provides support tailored to the unique needs of the birthing person and their family.

Through birth education and practice, trauma-informed mentoring and self-inquiry, a doula provides non-medical measures to support pregnancy, labor, birth, miscarriage/abortion, and the postpartum time.

Whether it’s learning coping measures, finding support for your VBAC, or setting yourself up for success on your breastfeeding or chestfeeding journey, GroundWork is here to provide sound information and a compassionate ear.

No matter if this is a first pregnancy or fourth, GroundWork supports each parents’ unique exploration through this powerful rite of passage.
